A green translucent glaze over coloured slips of yellow and blue create a depth. The effect makes me think of summer.

These special serving dishes came from experimenting with coloured slip (liquid clay with a stain added) brushed on, with a green glaze over top.
The result is a depth added from seeing the brush marks through the glaze.
The shallow dish is 9" x 2" inches or nearly 23cm x 5cm with light blue slip that creates a slight teal effect.
The medium height dish is 8.75" x 2.5" or 22cm x 6.5cm. It has light blue slip with some yellow brush marks, giving it a real summer feel.
Note that both dishes are a little on the heavy side, so no worries about them being delicate. They are dishwasher, microwave and oven safe. Do not temperature shock clay dishes as they may crack. If in the fridge, let them come to room temperature before putting in the oven.
